February will be a month of intensive composing during which I hope to make good progress in the development of the multimedia show “Slices of Life” for violin, electronics and video. “Slices of Life” is planned as a string of stories on identity– inspired by and made of text, video, sound and image contributions of you, the what-if-community, and put together and composed by myself.
Have a listen to the start sequence (video starts at 2:31).
To get inspired and enjoy the encouragement of co-creatives all over the world, I will join the February FAWM-challenge: “Write 14 songs in 28 days”. At the same time on the blog, I hope to collect stories on identity (real life and imaginary) to weave them into the overall thread of “Slices of Life”. I would be happy if you helped me gather material.
Of course, Clio and I will continue to introduce the winners of the SoundCloud-call to you. For those who haven’t been there yet, there is a lot of free sound material on the what if-Soundcloud for everybody’s creative use.
So, join me in the FAWM-composing challenge, let me have your stories on identity and enjoy a happy creative February.
All the best,
Barbara
all the best for the challenge
Thank you!
Best of luck!
